David Bowie, nel cofanetto Divine Symmetry gli extra di Hunky Dory

Si chiama Divine Symmetry il nuovo cofanetto di David Bowie con 48 tracce e demo del periodo relativo ad Hunk Dory e i mxi alternativi dell'album

Uscirà il 25 novembre DIVINE SYMMETRY di DAVID BOWIE, un cofanetto 4CD e 1 blu-ray ed equivalente digitale. La raccolta celebra i quasi dodici mesi trascorsi fino alla pubblicazione dell’album HUNKY DORY nel dicembre 1971 con home demos, BBC radio sessions e registrazioni live e studio.

DIVINE SYMMETRY di DAVID BOWIE contiene 48 tracce/demo del periodo e nuovi mix alternativi delle tracce di HUNKY DORY per mano del co-produttore originale Ken Scott. 

Divine Symmetry, il nuovo cofanetto di David Bowie

Due libri accompagnano DIVINE SYMMETRY, un libro a copertina rigida di 100 pagine con memorabilia esclusiva e foto, insieme ad una replica del composito di 60 pagine di notebooks di Bowie dell’era con i testi scritti a mano, disegni dei costumi, note di registrazione e set list.

Le note di copertina sono state scritte per la pubblicazione dall’esperto di Bowie Tris Penna, insieme ai contributi del co-produttore di HUNKY DORY Ken Scott, gli amici di Bowie da una vita Geoff MacCormack e George Underwood, la cantante Diana Gillespie, il chitarrista Mark Pritchett, il promoter David Stopps, l’editore Bob Grace e il fotografo Louanne Richards.

Il 1971 è stato un anno di svolta per Bowie. Ha firmato un contratto discografico con RCA, ha incontrato Andy Warhol, Lou Reed e Iggy Pop mentre abitava a New York, è diventato padre ed ha composto ‘KOOKS’ come testimonianza di orgoglio paterno, ha suonato live per la prima volta quel giugno con Mick Ronson , Woody Woodmansey e Trevor Bolder, la band che poi sarebbe stata battezzata Spiders From Mars ed ha registrato il classico album HUNKY DORY.

‘KOOKS’, registrato da Bowie e dal chitarrista Mick Ronson per Sounds Of The 70s della BBC e presentato da Bob Harris è disponibile ora per il download e come singolo streaming. È stato registrato al Kensington House, Shepherds Bush, Londra, Studio T1 per BBC radio il 21 settembre 1971 e trasmesso il 4 ottobre 1971.
