Cure, A Fragile Thing è il nuovo singolo da Songs Of A Lost World
I Cure hanno svelato la tracklist del nuovo album Songs Of A Lost World e pubblicato il secondo estratto A Fragile Thing
Dopo il primo assaggio fornito con 'Alone', i Cure hanno pubblicato ieri sera 'A Fragile Thing', il nuovo brano da "Songs Of A Lost World", l'attesissimo album in uscita il prossimo 1 novembre.
Presentato anche da Radiofreccia durante Rebel Yell in contemporanea con l'uscita mondiale, 'A Fragile Thing' mostra i Cure tornare ad un mood che ricorda il capolavoro "Disintegration", riportato ai giorni nostri.
Insieme alla release di 'A Fragile Thing', la leggendaria band di Robert Smith ha anche svelato la tracklist ufficiale dei "Songs Of A Lost World".
A Fragile Thing, il nuovo singolo dei Cure
Ascoltando 'A Fragile Thing', il secondo estratto da "Songs Of A Lost World" dei Cure si ha la sensazione di essere catapultati indietro nel tempo, con sonorità vicine ad uno dei brani simbolo della band, "Disintegration", e una linea di basso che richiama quella di 'Fascination Street'.
I Cure al loro meglio ma riportati nel 2024 con un ritmo incalzante che sembra quasi appoggiare la voce di Smith su un groove quasi hip hop ma sempre, tremendamente oscuro.
Robert Smith racconta a proposito del nuovo brano: “A Fragile Thing è una canzone ispirata alle difficoltà che incontriamo nello scegliere tra esigenze che si escludono a vicenda e da come affrontiamo il futile rimpianto che può seguire queste scelte, per quanto siamo sicuri di aver fatto le scelte giuste... spesso può essere molto difficile essere la persona che si ha davvero bisogno di essere”.

Songs Of A Lost World, l'atteso ritorno dei Cure
THE CURE pubblicheranno il loro attesissimo nuovo album “SONGS OF A LOST WORLD” il 1° novembre in tutto il mondo . Si tratta del 14° album in studio del gruppo e il primo da 16 anni a questa parte. Alcuni brani tratti dal disco sono stati cantati live per la prima volta durante il loro tour, “Shows of a Lost World”, comprensivo di 90 date in 33 Paesi e che ha totalizzato oltre 1 milione e 300 mila spettatori.
“SONGS OF A LOST WORLD” è stato scritto e arrangiato da Robert Smith, prodotto e mixato da Robert Smith & Paul Corkett e cantato dai The Cure - Robert Smith: Voce / chitarra/ basso / tastiere, Simon Gallup: basso, Jason Cooper: batteria / percussioni, Roger O'Donnell: tastiera, Reeves Gabrels: chitarra. L’album è stato registrato ai Rockfield Studios a Wales.
Robert Smith ha creato il concept e Andy Vella, fedele collaboratore dei Cure, si è occupato del design e della parte visiva.
La cover ritrae una scultura del 1975 di Janes Pirnat, “Bagatelle”.
“SONGS OF A LOST WORLD” è disponibile per il pre-order in formato fisico e uscirà in Italia nei seguenti formati: CD, LP, CD + Blu-Ray. In esclusiva sullo store di Universal Music Italia saranno disponibili il Doppio LP nero masterizzato in half-speed e la musicassetta.
